I have a special interest in clients diagnosed with cancer or neurocognitive disorders such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.

Let me ask you. . .

What does a fulfilled life mean to you and how do you want your deepest wishes to be met?

Hi, I’m Dr. Christina McConnell

I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice. My current clinical practice is in palliative care at a larger cancer institute and I am board certified in family practice.

I earned my doctoral degree from Seattle University and have been in the medical field for 30 years. I have stood at the bedside of over 10,000 patients, many with terminal illnesses.

My master’s degree and doctoral degree involved extensive research and clinical practice focused on lessening distress and meeting women’s needs in early pregnancy loss. This taught me how powerful grief is, no matter what kind of loss you’re facing. The language really matters. I learned how important it is to feel listened to, understood and validated and to meet you exactly where you are on your road through any kind of medical grief.

my promise is

My Promise Is

to treat you as if you were my own loved family member.

Like so many of us, I am no stranger to grief and tragedy.

Most recently, I navigated the process of my father managing his own terminal illness with cancer and passing away. So, I hold a deep understanding and empathy both personally and professionally.

“I believe he not only felt heard but rather, abundantly heard.”

“We are ALL in agreement that our experience was just amazing and very very helpful for Bob and for all of us. You in particular were very skillful in covering the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of Bob’s life. That was a rip-roaring week and so very hard and it felt so supportive when you called and said we’d been a good team for Bob. You’re doing the Lord’s work, lady and you’re super good at it! We remain grateful to you, Christina. May others be as helpful to you as you were to us.”
